Rule 16
Formation of Film Screening Committee

(1) There will be a Central Film Screening Committee at the central level to screen domestic and foreign films as follows:-

(a) The Joint Secretary of the Ministry appointed by the Ministry - Chairman

(B) Representative, Ministry of Home Affairs – Member

(C) Representative, Federal Affairs, Constituent Assembly, Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs and Culture – Member

(D) Film related Three members appointed by the Ministry including at least one woman from among the people with special knowledge on the subject (e) One member appointed by the Ministry on the recommendation of the Board from among the members or authorized employees of the Board. p>(f) The Deputy Secretary-Member-Secretary of the Ministry appointed by the Ministry

(2) There will be a local film screening committee as follows to screen movies in every district where movie theaters are built outside Kathmandu Valley:

p>(a) Chief District Officer or an officer of the district administration office designated by him – Chairman

(b) Head of the center in a district with a communication center and head of the district post office in a district without a communication center – member

p>(c) Two members, including one woman, appointed by the Ministry from among the persons with special knowledge on film-related matters

(2a) The term of office of the members appointed according to sub-rules (1) and (2) shall be two years at most.

(2B) Notwithstanding anything written in sub-rules (1) and (2), the examination of the advertisement film shall be done by the Chairman of the Film Examination Committee or the person appointed by him.

(3) The Film Examination Committee shall examine the film. (4) The meeting procedures of the central film examination committee and the local film examination committee formed according to sub-rules (1) and (2) shall be as determined by the said committee itself.
